About this deal

It quickly sets up and breaks down with a simple accordion fold and easily slides back into a durable carry bag. The four legs—connected to the upper portion of the frame via a horizontal, pre-bent pole—are thick, robust, and spread far enough apart that the chair feels secure even on rocky, uneven ground. For how crazy the chair looks when set up (or in its bag), it’s a lot easier to set up than it looks. it’s the heaviest on the list but this chair is more for those setting up a home-away-from-home than it is for wild camping.

Now better than ever, our Stargaze™ reclining camp chair has been meticulously updated in the pursuit of camp comfort perfection — while maintaining all the features fans know and love. And though we don't recommend leaving your chair out for full seasons of UV exposure, this is one of the few models we've actually done this to. Fortunately, most of the chairs we tested were reasonably straightforward — even the more complex packable chairs were a cinch after a small learning curve.

The Fortress / Goldfinch is about as vibrant as it gets, with aqua and buttercup yellow piping and straps on the dark body.Aircraft grade aluminium suspension frame is sturdier than most camp chairs, yet still packs down quickly and compactly.

Pulling the pockets back far enough to secure the poles does take some grip strength, but it’s never been a major issue for me. The large design gives space, it reclines to allow you to find the perfect position, and you can swing in it to relax fully.I love the chair once it’s put away, but getting it into the case (and getting the case zipped up) can sometimes be a challenge. Top-notch build quality, including a robust aluminum frame, thick and durable mesh seat, and confidence-inspiring components throughout. The carry bag is thoughtfully designed and features not one but two straps, allowing for options depending on how far you need to carry.
